MUMBAI: Actress Manisha Koirala, who started her career in Bollywood with ‘Saudagar’ directed by Subhash Ghai, took a hiatus from Hindi Film Industry for a brief period and is now ready to be back.
"There are three films whose script I have okayed… This year I will be working, so next year would be kind of a comeback," said the 42 year old actress.
After delivering several blockbusters like ‘Bombay’, ‘Khamoshi’, ‘Dil Se’, and ‘1942: A Love Story’, Koirala took a short recess. She was then seen in a few low budget and regional films. One of her recent releases was Onir’s ‘I Am’, where she shared screen space with Actress Juhi Chawla.
Many reports allege that Madhur Bhandarkar’s next project ‘Heroine’ starring Kareena Kapoor is inspired by Koirala’s life. Commenting on it, the Nepali Indian actress said, "I hope he (Bhandarkar) knows me well to make a movie on me." Madhur Bhandarkar though has categorically denied these reports.
