MUMBAI: Nitin Shingal, who assisted Rajkumar Hirani during the making of Munnabhai MBBS, has turned into an independent director with a short film Kindle, produced by art dealer Ashish Balram Nagpal.
Says Nagpal, who has also been an actor himself, “I never thought of becoming a producer. After going through the script, though, I felt I should go ahead and produce this short film. It has an absorbing tale of a couple who are to experience parenthood and also face grief.”
The film is complete and is scheduled to premiere at the Indian Film Festival at Stuttgart in Germany this July.
