Mumbai: Now that the DLF Indian Premiere League (IPL) fever and excitement has subsided on MAX, channel is again routing to screening of movies.
The channel is training its eyes on the 8 pm slot and has lined up old and new Bollywood and Hollywood films.
"Nothing can ever match the phenomenal success and the GRPs of IPL, which were close to 500. Movies and cricket are entirely different properties. Max has lined up premieres of some of the latest films," informs Max executive vice president and business head Sneha Rajani.
On Saturdays, the channel will showcase latest films like Jab We Met, Partner, Return of Hanuman, Don No. 1, Dus Kahiniyaan, Gandhi My Father amongst others.
From Monday to Friday, movies like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai, Garv, Beta, Gangajal, Baghban, 36 China Town will be screened in the 8 pm slot.
On Sundays, Hollywood films like Independence Day, Spiderman 2, Titanic, Anacondas – The hunt for the Blood Orchid will be screened.
