MUMBAI: blue Post Production (blue), the UK-based broadcast arm of Prime Focus, has won the Best Post Production House of the Year award at the Promax UK Awards held in London this month.
The Promax Awards honor the creative efforts of promotion and marketing practitioners in television and are the most anticipated awards of the year.
The Promax Best Post Production House of the Year award is a new category recognising post production houses that have provided outstanding service in the short-form genre and have the ability to deliver quality results and creative solutions for programme makers.
blue Post Production, Managing Director, Simon Briggs said, “I am absolutely thrilled that blue has been recognised in this way. It is a reward for all the hard work that we have put in since last summer to get blue back to the top where it belongs and is a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of all our staff and to the great pride that everyone takes in the company. I must also thank our clients, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to be recognised in this way and we will continue to strive to provide the best creative talent and the highest levels of service, which is what they have come to expect from us.”
blue post production, a part of VTR plc, was acquired by Prime Focus Ltd. (PFL) in April 2006. VTR plc is a post-production group in the UK with over 20 years of post-production and visual effects experience. The UK based broadcast post production arm of Prime Focus has in the past executed some critically acclaimed projects like In Living Memory, The Beckoning Silence and BBC’s Rogue Traders – Series 6.
Prime Focus managing director Namit Malhotra stated, “As the industry comes to terms with the challenges of new technology, the need for cross-media creativity is increasing. blue has proven it is one of the best post companies in the UK and we should consider this as the first step towards a bigger better future. ”
In the past, blue has also won the Broadcast magazine award for best post production house twice in a row.
