MUMBAI: Baiscope Entertainment will mark its first anniversary with IndieFocus, a film festival of eclectic independent cinema.
The festival, which will be held from 16 to 18 March 2007 at the PVR Cinemas, Juhu, will have on its panel directors like Anurag Kashyap and Oscar winner Danis Tanovic. IndieFocus will feature documentaries, features and shorts from across the world.
Academy award winning filmmaker Danis Tanovic will walk the red carpet on the opening night of IndieFocus. The festival will open with the screening of his new film Hell, followed by a discussion between the maker and the audience.
Films that will feature in the festival include The Beat That My Heart Skipped, L’Enfant, A Bellyful of Dreams, Padma Nadir Majhi and a mix of shorts featured in their Shortscape section.
Baiscope Entertainment is a NGO of and for the Indian entertainment industry that aims at providing support, opportunity and guidance to individuals aspiring to make a mark in the film industry. It conducts monthly knowledge sharing workshops by filmmakers and technicians like Sudhir Misra, Anurag Kashyap, Amitabh Shukla and Gitanjali Rao.
