MUMBAI: Green Films, a concept conceptualized by PVR Nest (the CSR division of PVR Cinemas), in association with Agilent Technologies and National Geographic Channel was launched at PVR MGF, Gurgaon to spread awareness over the environmental concerns within the society.
The event, which was inaugurated by Agilent Technologies director – finance Rakesh Chaudhary saw attendance of over 300 children from various schools for a special screening of environmental films – “A Life Among Whales” and ”Earth Conservation Tips”.
Green Films, as a program has been designed and conceptualized specially to influence the most important target group within our society – The Children. This initiative aims to drive the point that we as individuals can do a lot more in making our environment healthier.
By showcasing films produced across the world on the issue of environment, Green Films broadly wants to achieve the following objectives:
– This initiative plans to Environmental-Educative-Entertaining (EEE) Campaign between the lesser privileged and the privileged children (Government and private Schools)
– To contribute towards healthy/ safe environment in and around Community
– Enabling all the sections of children to claim their rights to be ‘empowered citizen
Chaudhary said, “At Agilent, we believe children are the building blocks of our society. We dream to create a classless and environmental-friendly community through imparting knowledge on Science and Environment issues. We believe Children are the future and enlightening them about our environmental issues along with the need for conservation will help shape the times ahead.”
