Mumbai: In an event organized by Ad Club of Bombay RED FM national marketing head & station head (Mumbai) Anuj Singh received the Young Achiever Award for ‘Business Leader’ for his outstanding skills in business and creative intellect.
These awards were introduced by Ad Club for the first time this year to felicitate CEOs and CMOs for their commendable effort in taking their organizations to success and recognition.
From a small town boy to the national marketing head Singh has come a long way. He joined RED FM in 2006 as head of marketing – Mumbai at a time when RED FM was going through a change in management and a refurbishing of the brand and its philosophy.
In the course of his tenure, Singh has been instrumental in conceptualizing and executing numerous successful marketing strategies and campaigns which include the now famous ‘Touch Points’ strategy of Anytime Anywhere Marketing and award winning campaigns like the Red Mike which led RED FM to the numero uno position in Mumbai in RAM. Amongst the other campaigns of RED FM where he has played a pivotal role, are, the award winning Bajaao for a Cause & the Bajaate Raho Awards.
Post receiving the award, Singh said, "I am really happy to receive this award, and am very grateful to my mentor Abraham Thomas for his guidance and support. I would also like to thank him for giving me the tremendous opportunity to do what I wanted to in the organization, for building a culture which encouraged all of us to think out of the box and for always being a guiding force."
Commenting on the awards, Singh added, "Young Achievers Awards is a great way to acknowledge young and budbding talent in the industry and it will encourage all the young guns of the industry to do better and better". According to him, leadership is a challenge to be something more than average and Singh has proved his leadership qualities by his sheer determination and hard work at RED FM.
Commenting on Anuj’s award, Thomas said, "I am proud of his achievement and of the achievement of the organization in nurturing such talent. Singh has been a core part of the team which has been instrumental in all the success that Red FM has received. I am sure this will encourage him and others to raise the bar further."
