MUMBAI: Rensil D’Silva’s directorial debut, which is being produced under the Dharma Productions banner, is 55 per cent complete. The yet untitled film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi.
This romantic thriller also stars Minissha Lamba, Kirron Kher and Om Puri amongst others. The cast and crew of the movie, which is currently shooting in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio, will soon be New York bound in April for another long schedule after which there will be a 20 day final schedule at Mehboob studio in Mumbai again.
The film has so far been shot in Philadelphia, Delhi and Mumbai and is slated to release in the latter half of the year.
Not many are aware that D’Silva was part of the early writing process of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6. He says, “I was involved in the very initial stage then I moved out of the project as I did not have the time, after which it was re-written.”
Besides his directorial venture, he is also busy writing three screenplays; one for Mani Ratnam called Raavan, Soham Shah’s Luck, and a film for Arjun Rampal that he’s just finished writing. Apart from this, he has also penned the script of Hook Ya Crook.
