Sajid Khan to begin shooting Housefull in May

MUMBAI: Sajid Nadiadwala’s movie Housefull, which is being directed by Sajid Khan, is slated to go on floors in May – June this year.

Khan is indeed a busy man. From scripting for his film, to preparing for the anchoring for Screen Awards with sister, Farah Khan on 14 January, to hosting a show on television for a news channel that is slated to go on air later this month, Sajid Khan has his plate full.

Khan is currently putting the final touches to his script. Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, he says, "My cast consists of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan. I am still looking for another actress in a lead role. The film will be shot across two countries, in the US and the Caribbeans."

He adds, "Housefull is a complete entertainer, full of romance and comedy. I want to make films with an Indian feel and rich with the emotions present in films, which I saw while I was growing up. But my films will be set in today’s time. And I promise you, Housefull will be a film with a repeat value."

It may be recalled that Khan made his directorial debut with Heyy Babyy under the Nadiadwala Grandson banner. In fact when Nadiadwala was recently robbed, it was Sajid Khan that he called for help. Sajid arrived with the cops in tow at 4 am in the morning to report the case.

Additionally, Khan will team up with his sister on 14 January for the first time to present an award ceremony. With Farah’s hectic schedule of shooting for Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites and Nach Baliye, the siblings are fighting for time to present a very tongue-in-cheek show.
