MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan returned to India last night. The actor reached India after a disastrous outing in the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As he had promised, SRK will be in India to cast his vote. However, the big issue is that will he return to South Africa to boost the sagging morale of his Kolkata Knight Riders who are now languishing in the bottom of the pile, making their chances to reach the semis a remote possibility.
Close associates of the actor, who were witness to the Badshah’s inability to stem the rot from within, describe the situation as "stressful". Khan, always a winner, has had to see the inner turmoil within his team members bring about the downfall of his franchisee. And with almost nothing to gain from his presence in South Africa now, chances of King Khan returning certainly looks doubtful.
Khan’s next outing will be for his pivotal role in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan. The May schedule of the film, which was to be shot in Mumbai was scrapped as SRK had to be present for the IPL. Now the actor will pack his bags for a 40 day long schedule of the film, which will be shot in Los Angeles from the last week of May.
