“Shah Rukh Khan was smelling of alcohol”: Mumbai Police

MUMBAI: Following the ruckus that took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Iqbal Sheikh has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan was in a drunken state.

"Shah Rukh was drunk. He was smelling of alcohol but he was not drinking at the Wankhede stadium. It is not an offence. He was also abusing and threatening the MCA and BCCI officials," said Sheikh to the press.

Last evening, apparently after Knight Rider’s thrashed Mumbai Indians by 32 runs, an excited Shah Rukh and his army of bodyguards went to the teams’ dressing room and then started to go on to the field. Shah Rukh and his entourage, comprising Morani brothers, wanted to celebrate after the presentation ceremony but he was not allowed to do so. What irked Shah Rukh was that MCA officials switched off the flood lights.

As of now, the MCA is reportedly considering slapping a life ban on Shah Rukh Khan.
