MUMBAI: South based distributor Gaurav Sharma, who is a close friend of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, is planning a Tamil version of RGV’s Darling, being produced by T-Series. 

Sources close to Sharma say that it was he who helped Varma release Shiva across India. Sharma, who recently decided to get into multiple productions, has liked the subject of Darling, a Hindi film which is being filmed by RGV for T-Series.

Fardeen Khan stars in the Hindi version which is still under production; while the Tamil one will feature R Madhavan. The other formalities are being worked out and the film will mount the sets shortly, sources say.
