MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has released Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi on VCDs – the popular comedy show of the early 1980s. The show was aired on Doordarshan.
Shemaroo Entertainment vice president Hiren Gada said, “We are the first to take the plunge of bringing television content into home video entertainment. This kind of television soaps on home video has been a regular trend internationally. In India however, we are testing the waters by letting audiences get in touch with these humourous episodes of yesteryears’ most popular Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. We are definitely looking forward to rejoice this triumph. We have also taken care to technically restore the various episodes of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi digitally.”
Shemaroo Entertainment has colour corrected the images and improved the picture quality of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. The company has also improved the audio by restoring it for clarity. Shemaroo has upgraded the serial in a digital format, which will enhance the visual appeal of the serial for viewers.
The serial starred Shafi Inamdar, Swaroop Sampat, Satish Shah, Rakesh Bedi and Tiku Talsania. The VCD is priced at Rs 99.
