MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja has spent nearly two months in jail for allegedly raping his domestic help. The actor, who continues to remain at the Arthur Road Jail, was arrested after his domestic help complained to the police that she was raped by him.
His case has now been transferred to Sewree fast-track court on Thursday. The transfer to the fast track court comes almost 10 weeks after the actor was arrested.
The trial will start in the fast track court by September-end and would be completed within two weeks. The fresh bail plea will be heard on Friday. If charges against the actor are proved in court, he will be sentenced for minimum seven years in jail.
