Synergy Images, the creators of Zampano (animated character appearing in the Bollywood movie Friends Forever) is said to have invested Rs 1 crore in the production work and the character can dance and synchronize with the complex dance moves of Hrithik Roshan.
The firm is also planning to set up a animation studio in the city with an investment of $3 million. It is expected to take two years to set up and will house a dorm and training centre. Synergy Images is also into game development, carrying out 50 outsourced projects a year, and are said to be in talks with film producers for mobile gaming as well.
For those who are unfamiliar, Zampano is the star of Friends Forever, a children’s film to be released this year-end starring Ashmit Patel and Hrishitaa Bhatt, and is directed by Soumitro Ranade of Jajantaram Mamantaram fame. The 3D animated cartoon of Zampano appears for 36 minutes in the movie, and took over 10,000 hours of toil by animators.
