Mumbai: The Indian Visions Indian Film Festival of Washington, DC screened Taare Zameen Par, Rock On, A Wednesday, Mumbai Meri Jaan amongst other movies.

The film festival kicked off its program with a screening of Rock On. Abhishek Kapoor was presented with The Official Opening Night Selection Award at the reception following his film’s screening. He interacted with audience members at the reception.  

The Indian Visions festival continued through Sunday, November 16. Other films screened included Naalu Pennungal (Adoor Gopalakrishnan), Prapancha Pash (Franz Osten), Valu: The Wild Bull (Umesh Kulkarni), AIDS JaaGo (Mira Nair, Vishal Bharadwaj, Farhan Akhtar, Santosh Sivan), Shot in Bombay (Liz Mermin), Quamar/Working to Live (Preeya Nair), Super 30 (Christopher Mitchell), Wings of Evolution (Ramesh Mourthy and Raghu Jeganathan), Midnight Lost and Found (Atul Sabharwal), Rewind (Atul Taishete), Haravele Indradhanush/The Lost Rainbow (Dhiraj Meshram) and The Private Life of Albert Pinto (Sidharth Singh).

Other celebrity guests who attended the festival and who interacted with audiences included Brahmanand Singh (Pancham Unmixed), Spandan Banerjee (The Fiction and Beware Dogs), Ashish Avikunthak (Nirakar Chhaya/Shadows Formless and Antaral/End Note), Mona Kumar (Between Two Worlds), Leena Jayaswal and Indira Somani (Crossing Lines) and Harjant Gill (Milind Soman Made Me Gay).
