Mumbai: IDream Productions Tahaan, directed by Santosh Sivan, made its global debut at the Cannes Film Market. Tahaan started its journey at Pusan in 2007 when the script was awarded a coveted place in the prestigious Pusan Promotional Plan – a dynamic project market focused in Asian cinema that provides financers and producers an opportunity to discover top quality projects.
Since its debut at Cannes, Tahaan has been invited to participate in a number of film festivals across the globe.
Tahaan’ has been selected in competitions at
o The Rome International Film Festival (22 Oct) in Italy
o CineKid International Film Festival (23 Oct) in Amsterdam
o Amazonas Film Festival (11-15 Nov) in Brazil
o Dubai International Film Festival (Dec) in U.A.E and
o Stockholm International Film Festival (Mar 2009) in Stockholm.
In addition, Tahaan has been invited for the following official selections at
o The Pusan International Film Festival (8 Oct 8) in South Korea
o BFI London International Film Festival (15-30 Oct) in the U.K and
o Palm Springs International Film Festival (2009) in the US.
Tahaan was released in theaters across India on 5 September by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film is produced by IDream Production in association with Santosh Sivan Films.
