MUMBAI: Producer Vinod Bachchan has completed Bhojpuri film Pappu Ke Pyar Ho Gayeel. The producer had earlier produced and released a Hindi film Rain in 2005. The film starred Meghna Naidu of Kaliyon Ka Chaman and Hawas fame opposite Himanshu Malik. The film failed at box office.

Says Bachchan, “I have completed a Bhojpuri film called Pappu Ke Pyar Ho Gayeel starring Manoj Tiwari Mridul and Divya Desai. This was a film that I eagerly wanted to do with Manoj. My family lovingly calls him Pappu and I’ve titled the film after him. The film will release by November end or December.”

Continues the producer, “It is a privilege to have the same surname as Big B. I have been trying for more than two years to meet Mr Amitabh Bachchan for a film titled Samarpan. The film will take up a social cause and will have backing from UNICEF. The story is about street urchins and beggars. Mr Bachchan’s presence will be like a cherry topping on the cream, and will ensure that the film reaches out to maximum number of people. However, the meeting has not yet happened.”
