Zee Café launches The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

MUMBAI: Zee Café has launched the late night chat show from the US – The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from 9 October. The channel will air all new episodes of the current season, every weekday, straight from Los Angeles.


Speaking at the launch of the show, Zee Café business head Neil Chakravarti said, “We are really excited to be able to bring the Café audience daily episodes of The Tonight Show. Jay Leno has been the most popular late night anchor for a while now and I am sure Indian viewers will love watching the show. Together with E! News, which will follow The Tonight Show, Café will now be airing an hour and half of daily “almost live” content every week night, straight from Hollywood.”


Many of the world’s most popular celebrities, musical guests and newsworthy names make it to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In addition to the upcoming 15-year milestone, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno has experienced numerous highlights during his reign, including winning four Emmy Awards – the first in 1995 for Outstanding Comedy, Variety or Music Series, and in 1996, 1997 and 1999 for Outstanding Technical Direction. In 1999 and 2000, The Tonight Show took home the trophy for Favorite Late Night Show in the annual TV Guide Awards determined by voting viewers.
