Fashionably dressed Dia Mirza showed support to her friend Smiley. She said “I have always been interested in theatre. I always support theatre and its artists. It is a fascinating experience when you get to watch live plays, the amazing stories and great theatre talents. Apart from that, there is collective energy. In that moment, the reaction and response is great to watch.” She also answered some queries on how important it is to have theatre experience in order to become a professional Bollywood actor. She said “I think it is a very important ingredient. It is very fruitful ingredient. I know many people who have been active participants in theatre have done phenomenally in movies. Although, I don’t believe it is compulsory. Some people have great personalities for theatre but that does not mean they’ll translate beautifully on cameras. There is something called the X factor that camera loves. But, it is a wonderful instrument to grow and evolve as an actor.”
