MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan holds the record for maximum number of Filmfare awards with the legendary Dilip Kumar saab. He has won 8 Filmfare awards so far. Keeping records aside, the actor has won several awards in his two- decade career. He now has another feather in his cap.
At a recent award function, the actor was conferred with the ‘Rajasthan Patrika Concerned Communicator Award’ for his contribution to cinema.
He shared his experiences of his journey in Bollywood and talked about his roles. Also present on the occasion was Prasoon Joshi, the writer of the acclaimed film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
Shah Rukh Khan praised Prasoon for his excellent writing and shared thoughts on choosing and preparing for his roles.
He talked about how language of Hindi helped him achieve stardom. “I can walk Hindi, talk Hindi,” the actor jokingly said.
“It is my modest upbringing and values that make me choose certain films. I am still not comfortable doing certain things in my film or saying things, which I believe my children, family won’t like. More importantly even when I watch it alone, I may be displeased by it,” shares Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan has been entertaining audiences with his movies ever since he made his debut in 1992 with ‘Deewana’. His latest film ‘Chennai Express’ is set to hit theatres on 9 August. With Shah Rukh Khan, there’s always entertainment guaranteed ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. Looks like there are more accolades coming his way.
