Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho was the remake of the 2006 Telugu film Stalin directed by A. R. Murugadoss, whilst the basic plot has been inspired from Pay it Forward. Jai Ho was directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Sohail Khan Productions. The film marked the debut of Daisy Shah. Jai Ho released on 24 January 2014. The movie crossed the 100 crore mark, but still remained to be an average earner and was slammed by the critics.
