The movie starred debutant Tiger Shroff and debutante Kriti Sanon. Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie was a remake of Telugu film Parugu starring Allu Arjun. Heropanti released on 23^rd May and was a hit at the box office despite getting mixed reviews from the critics.
