Masaan: Masaan shows two parallel stories taking place at Varanasi in India. The film exposed the hypocrite state of mindset Indian people possess and the obsession with religion and caste that has destroyed the lives of many young ones. Masaan was screened at Cannes Film Festival 2015 under Un Certain Regard and also won the FIPRESCI Prize for debut films. The film did get good response in India but is still underrated.
