5 Reasons Mary Kom Will Be The Biopic Of The Year

[tps_footer]Recently, Priyanka Chopra along with her producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali kept a special first 20 minutes screening of Mary Kom for selected member of the press. Whoever was present at the screening came out of it dazzed with inspiration. Those uncut raw 20 minutes of the film was enough to tell us why it will be the biopic of the year. Here are some of our observations.

Manipur has been fabulously recreated with the help of Omung Kumar who claims himself to be the ‘baap’ of art direction and rightfully so. Every detail has been looked into giving you a glimpse of a state which many of Indians don’t even know forms a part of India.
Priyanka Chopra’s hardwork is for all to see. She has put her 100 per cent in it. Those 20 minutes was completely enthralling. We can only imagine what she has done throughout the film. This film will take her to unclaimable heights.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have spared no cost. It is evident how they gave director Omung Kumar free hand to create the journey of woman’s victory in the boxing ring, five times over!
The 20 minutes is enough to tell you what Mary Kom must have gone through in reality. The only rock in her life was her husband who stood by her side and her career all the times. You rarely find man of such nature these days!
The film essays the picture of Mary Kom‘s struggle to follow her dreams and be a boxer. It traces the journey of the celebrated Indian sportsperson, from training to falling in love, getting married, having two kids and pursuing her boxing dreams.
