1998 Black BuckCase
Salman Khan along with Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre and other were accused of hunting the protected and endangered Chinkara and Black Buck while they were shooting for a film in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on October 1, 1998 during the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya’s film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
On February 17, 2006, Salman was sentenced to one year in Prison for the case. Later, the sentence was stayed by a higher court during appeal. On April 10, 2006, Salman was handed a five year jail sentence and remanded to Jodhpur jail until he was granted bail on April 13.
