Kal Ho Na Ho
As we all are aware, Kareena Kapoor was the first choice for playing Naina for director Karan Johar in Kal Ho Na Ho. Eventually the role went to Preity Zinta. In Karan’s book An Unsuitable Boy, he wrote about the issue. He said, “I offered her Kal Ho Naa Ho, and she asked for the same money that Shah Rukh Khan was getting. So I said, ‘Sorry’, as I was very hurt and so told my father to leave that negotiation room. Then I called her. She didn’t take my call, and I said, We’re not taking her. The two have buried the hatchet and are back to being BFFs.
