The comedy collective AIB recently took down their roast videos where actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor gave their consent to come on the show in front of a live audience of 4000 people. After taking down their videos due to controversies, the team of AIB have come forward and stated reasons for their action. According to their post, the main reason of taking the video down was that they did not mean to hurt anyone especially their supporters.
Controversies kicked in, when FIR were lodged by several people against the actors and AIB themselves who were targeted for publishing a vulgar video without the proper licenses required to conduct such an event. Due to which the AIB team decided to take down the videos and tweeted asking their audience to wait for their next post.
“Have taken down AIB Knockout for now. We will speak soon.” Nearly after 5 hours admins of the All India Bakchod posted a page long essay stating their reasons of taking the videos down. In which firstly, they cleared that the decision of taking the video was their own and not due to pressure from any kind of organization.
“Things got to a point where people who have supported us, people who work hard to make what we do come to life, were put in a position where things could get deeply unpleasant for them. And that’s a problem. We can live with abuse, hate, anger, fury, rage, ignorance, bigotry and perhaps even bullying. But we don’t want anybody to get hurt because of us. And we do mean anybody,” stated the AIB team.
Throughout the entire post the team insisted on saying that everything that was broadcasted in the video was meant to be a joke and that no individual was forced to participate in the project, nor did anyone force the audience to watch the video on YouTube.
Although the videos have been taken down from the official AIB channel, people over the internet have already done their contribution by pirating the episode and publishing it throughout social media.
