The actor played a suave father of Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in the film.
This got him an award which he says is only and only because of his son Harshvardhan Kapoor.
It was his son who convinced him to take up this role as it was very different from what Anil Kapoor has been seen doing before this.
Harsh wanted his dad to try different kind of roles. It was Harshvardhan who wanted him to do Slumdog Millionaire as well, a role that gave him a global recognition.
Harshvardhan was very happy when his dad received an award for Dil Dhadakne Do.
