Bollywood’s Jagat Janani Anushka Sharma is on her toes promoting her upcoming movie NH10. Starring Neil Bhoopalam, NH10 is a thriller story about two friends who face numerous horrors on their road trip. Recently, Anushka was on the sets of television crime based show Savdhaan India for the promotion of NH10.
According to Anushka Sharma, the reason to choose a show like Savdhaan India was the striking similarity between the concept of the episode and her movie’s storyline. Anushka said, “We found this particular show of Savdhaan India very interesting because of the characters shown and the real life incident that it is based on. It is basically about the ‘against all odds situations’ where you cannot see a proper way ahead of you. You feel like you don’t know what the truth is, but still you keep heading forward doing the right thing to find the truth out.”
She added, “And this was very interesting because our story is also like this one. NH10 is also related to the concept of no turning back and fighting the situation. Also I have watched a couple of episodes that have been aired previously and I could relate to it as a youngster.”
Furthermore, the young wise PK actress added the importance of a show like Savdhaan India for today’s youngsters to get a gist of whatever is happening in our country. “It is possible that when you read an article about something you don’t get the in-depth understanding of the situation. But seeing a presentation of the same through a show like this, you are more aware about what is happening. Which is what our movies also depict. The character of Meera and Arjun meet the cruel side of India which they’ve never seen before because their own lives were always so protected that they didn’t know what the real world is like,” Anushka Sharma stated during the press meet at the show.
Anushka Sharma is making her debut in production with this film. Co-produced by Phantom Films and directed by Navdeep Singh, NH10 releases on March 6.
