MUMBAI: ‘Tis the season of action, adventure and superheroes; and current Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to ensure his upcoming superhero trilogy rocks!
As we had reported, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up to team up with his ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ director once again, this time for a superhero film. The superhero project is reported to be a trilogy of films.
Nonetheless, Ranbir admits that his superhero will be quite the opposite of ‘Krrish’, essayed by Hrithik Roshan. Said Ranbir, “It is not like ‘Krrish 3’, it is something very different, it is going to be a fantasy film. It is going to be a trilogy which Ayan has just started writing. We share a great personal and professional relation.”
“Till now we are in developing stage, he is going abroad for a post production course. Hopefully, we will try and make something path-breaking,” added Ranbir.
Ranbir would be the newest entrant into the superhero club of Bollywood, after Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Elaborating on his deepest desire to play diverse roles in his films, Ranbir, who just essayed the character of an orphaned thief in ‘Besharam’, said: “My next film is titled ‘Bombay Velvet’. I am playing a boxer in the film. Then I am working on Imtiaz Ali’s film and Ayan Mukherjee’s superhero film. I will start this film by end of next year. I am trying to do different characters, like in ‘Besharam’ I played a vulgar, road type tapori character.”
Are action films on the anvil? “Since six years I have been trying to make my body but it is not happening. I can’t do a full fledged action film till I don’t have the body. But I do feel action comes from intensity in your eyes and the way you work for it.”
