The New Year has finally brought some relief for the actor Piyush Sahdev, as he has got a bail after so many days. The Beyhadh fame actor had got arrested last year in the month of November due to a rape case against him.
A 23 year old fashion designer had accused him of raping her. She was living-in with the actor for the past few months. Now that the actor is finally out of jail, he has broken silence on the matter.
Talking to Bombay Times, he said, “I am just thankful to God that I am out of jail. The case is sub judice and I will talk only with my lawyers’ consent. Nobody likes to be in jail; I have lost many days of my life. I just want to get back to work now.”
Thanking all the people who supported him, the actor added on saying, “I would like to thank all those who didn’t jump to conclusions and believed that the judicial system should decide who is wrong or right. I have full faith in the judiciary of our country and the real truth will come out soon.”
When asked if he is detained in the city due to the case, Piyush said, “No, I can travel anywhere for work, but I have to be present for judicial proceedings on the case and I will abide by the rules.”
The actor has also been facing trouble with his estranged wife, Akangsha Rawat. But refusing to comment on his personal life, he said, “I have to resolve many things soon, but I can’t comment on it now.”
