Box Office: Kangana Ranaut-Imran Khan’s Katti Batti Second Day Collection!

Kangana Ranaut– Imran Khan starrer film ‘Katti Batti’ has hit the theatres after much anticipation. The film which is based on live in relationships was much in limelight because of its back to back promotions. With an impressive star cast combined with unique story line, hopes from the film were considerably high.

The film however, even after the noise couldn’t reflect the same in its box office collections. Released on Friday i.e. September 18th, 2015, ‘Katti Batti’ did not attract much crowd at the theatres. The occupancy rate of the film was extremely average with just 15%- 20% approximately. With the low response, the earnings of the film on its first day of release also fell flat with Rs. 5.25 crore (52.5 million) net approx. On it’s second day (Saturday), the film collected Rs 5 crore (50 million) net approx. Katti Batti collected Rs 10.25 crore (102 million) net approx. The film has fallen flat, its not really liked by the audience.

The slow start at the box office surely has made it tough for the film already to surpass a good weekend. It was very much being said that Kangana Ranaut’s presence in the film will prove to be an advantage for the movie’s collections but it doesn’t seem so.

‘Katti Batti’ is not just a live in relationship love story but also has elements of thrill and accidents. The movie is expected to attract audiences from the metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune and Bangalore as compared to other areas.

Further, ‘Katti Batti’s release date also clasheAd with the ongoing Ganesh celebrations. Now the movie will have to strive really hard to make a good mark at the box office. The collections of Sunday will be now every important for the movie. With an out of the box and not so general topic, ‘Katti Batti’s earnings will mostly be from the youth which further makes it difficult for a good collection as it delimits the audience.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, ‘Katti Batti’ features Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan in the mantra of ‘Opposites Attracts’. The movie might pick up its lost audience during the weekend.
