Box Office: Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma’s Fukrey Returns First Day Opening!

Fukrey Returns receives better opening that Kapil Sharma’s Firangi at the Box Office.

‘Fukrey Returns’, one of the anticipated, funniest and quirkiest projects of the year has finally released today at the Box Office. 2013 film Fukrey had won hearts with its maddening cast and unique storyline. Four years later, the ‘Fukrey’ gang starring Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Priya Anand, Richa Chadha, is back. The gang has returned with their Bholi Punjaban played by Richa Chadda.

The best part of the film is Fukrey Returns begins from where its 2013 prequel Fukrey ended. Well, the film is receiving mixed response from the audience as well as from critics.

The film has also got a good start at the Box office with around 25% opening in the morning shows. Fukrey Returns has received good response in Delhi and Punjab. The comedy-entertainer has received betted opening than the recent releases, ‘Tumhari Sulu’ and ‘Firangi’.

Well, the makers of the show had a great marketing idea. They released individual character posters, and later the trailer for the movie. Also, the makers of Fukrey Returns have left no stone unturned to promote their film. The songs from the film ‘Tu Mera Bhai Nahi Hai’, ‘Mehbooba’, ‘Peh Gaya Khalara’ and ‘Ishq De Fanniyar’ further added excitement.

Since Padmavati has been postponed, Fukrey Returns gets space to earn at the Box Office. Fukrey had managed to open with decent collections of Rs 27.5 million (Rs 2.75 crore) net on Day 1. However, the sequel is expected to earn better and double the prequel on its first day at the Box office.

Fukrey Returns, produced by Excel Entertainment, stars Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Priya Anand, Richa Chadha, Vishakha Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in important roles.

The other releases of the week like ‘Galati Tumhari’, ‘Game Over’ and ‘Sallu Ki Shaadi’ have witnessed poor opening.
