With a good marketing strategy and popularity the film received an overwhelming opening.
‘Sultan’ released on the festive occasion of Eid and made a maximum of its collections because of the national holiday. Moreover, the movie maintained its stand throughout the five days. The film has not dropped in its collections since its release and its earnings have been above Rs 30 crore net approx.
The Salman Khan starrer film has completed its six-day run at the box office. The movie dropped in its collections drastically on Monday. ‘Sultan’ earned Rs.16 crore net approx. on its first Monday. The total collection of the film comes to Rs.198 crore net approx.
The earnings have dropped down by 50% since Friday but because of the weekday this drop is usual. The movie has already won the battle with its magnificent collections on the five-day run. ‘Sultan’ will be the first film of its kind to enter the 200 crore club within a week.
It is being said that the screens have experienced a drop of 25% to 30% in its ticket sales. The Salman– Anushka starrer movie has nonetheless broken all the records with its smart release. The collections of Tuesday which is the eighth day will now be crucial for the fate of the overall collections.
It is well assumed that ‘Sultan’ will throw strong numbers till the next two or three weeks, though it might not be as strong as ‘Pk’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. [/tps_footer]
