Bollywood dance drama film ABCD 2 had a fabulous first weekend business at the Box Office. Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer film has become the highest first weekend grosser of the year by minting Rs. 45.60 crore net (456 million) approx. at the Box Office. It became pretty clear after looking at film’s first day collection at the Box Office that it was in for a good run and on its way to top the charts. Despite heavy rains and all the trouble that monsoon brought along with it, the film did a very impressive business on its first day and opened to a really good start. On Friday, director Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2 pulled in Rs. 14.65 crore net (146.5 million) approx. at the Box Office.
The film saw a good growth on Saturday and Sunday and received great occupancy rate at the Box Office. Audiences are showing great interest in the drama, dance and all the entertainment ABCD 2 offers. The film is doing a good business in all the major circuits, especially Mumbai, where the film grossed Rs. 17.55 crore net (175.5 million) on its first weekend at the Box Office. The sort of reaction the film has received and is receiving is comparatively far better than most of the Bollywood films that released this year.

Despite being released on lesser numbers of screen counts, ABCD 2 is on the top of the chart and has become the highest first weekend collectors of the year at the Box Office. Until now, Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar Is Back held the top spot in the list and was the highest first weekend earner of 2015, which was released in over 3000 screens. But now Varun and Shraddha starrer ABCD 2 is leading the race, even though the film was released in 2500 screens approx. in India. Now we look forward to the sort of numbers the film brings in on its first week run at the Box Office.
