JC Productions unveiled the trailer of their upcoming film 2016 – THE END in Mumbai along with media. Director Jaideep Chopra was present at the event along with the cast of the film. The cast of the film comprises of Rahul Roy, Divyendu Sharma, Kiku Sharda, Debutants Harshad Chopda, & Priya Banerjee, amongst others. Mahima Chaudhary was present as the Special Guest.
The event began with the cast arriving at the venue. The trailer of the film was then unveiled to the audience that comprised of the media persons and other friends from the film fraternity. A press conference was also held after the unveiling where the Director & Cast interacted with the media.
Jaideep Chopra said, “It’s a young & vibrant film. It’s about what will you do if you knew you had only 7 days to live? People have different aspirations in life but we take life for granted. I am very happy with the way the film has turned out & I hope that the audiences will love the film too.”
Harshad Chopda said, “The best part of the film is that it is a complete film. It has everything – it is funny, it is light, it has meaning, it has depth and it has that renaissance of today’s youth, with a dash of love. Songs are very nice & visually also it is so nice.”
Divyendu Sharma said, “I really had a blast shooting this one and it was a pretty chilled out shoot. We had lots of fun and I am not just saying it for the sake of it. Once you see the promo you will see the fun that I am talking about. Jaideep is very chilled out & the four of us – Kiku, Priya, Divyendu & me, we bonded really nicely. The whole idea of the film is different that if the whole world was going to finish in 7 days, what would you do? It really says just go all out & don’t think too much & that what we did.”
Kiku Sharda said, “2016 – The End, is a very very special film for me & the biggest reason is that I haven’t done many films and also the whole concept of the film is good, that’s the reason why I got attracted to the idea of doing this film. Imagine if you knew you had only 7 days to live or 8 days or how many ever, would you still keep planning like we keep planning our lives so much right from insurance to policies. If you are told the time limit of your remaining life, it changes everything & everything you do. Jaideep Chopra is very very sorted in his head as to what exactly he wants to make, it was impressive to hear the script from him and the entire cast is fantastic. I loved being part of the film & after seeing the end product I am even more happier.”
Priya Banerjee said, “2016 – The End trailer is out & I hope everyone likes it. It’s a fun film with a lot of comedy, message & its great. It’s a story of 4 friends and how everything changes in the lives after they find out that the world is coming to an end. It’s their story, the fun they have & the trouble they get into. It will be very relatable by everyone.”
2016 – THE END is a story about four young friends – Sunny, Asse, Rahul and Sheetal. Though they all come from respectable families they are still unhappy with their lives and hope their dreams come true. Accidentally they read a news about the world coming to an end in the next 7 days, which scares them and they decide to at least live their lives to the fullest for the next 7 days. After partying one night, they wake up to find themselves in possession with a stolen Mercedes & 1 Crore rupees.
2016 – The End is a family entertainer with a perfect blend of action, romance and comedy. The film is produced by JP Productions. The film will release on 4th November, 2016. The music of the film is composed by Agnel & Faizan.
