As the film releases tomorrow, the team of Piku were to stay busy today with the promotions of the film. However, if reports are anywhere to be true, soon after the verdict on Salman Khan’s 2002 hit-and-run case came out, cast and crew of Piku decided that it was not appropriate to go ahead with the promotional activities and called it off. Yes, all the promotional events that were to take place today were cancelled. Well, Deepika Padukone and team of Piku are not the only ones who are affected by Salman Khan‘s conviction. Entire nation is talking about the same issue. People from Bollywood said that it was a very “sad moment” for the actor and called him a “simple and real” man.
According to reports, Deepika Padukone was signed opposite Salman Khan in YRF’s Sultan, which was to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. In the 2002 hit-and-run case, after the 13-year long chase, Salman Khan got convicted of all charges. Court found him guilty and sentenced him to 5-years in jail. The actor instantly put an appeal of immediate bail to the high court, which was granted. Now after 2-day interim bail, a hearing will be held.
