NEW DELHI: There’s just about a week left for the release of Bollywood’s next horror offering ‘Ek Thi Daayan’. And the team is leaving no stone unturned to promote their film.

Thursday, we spotted the leads Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi along with filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor at a press conference in Delhi. Konkona Sen Sharma was mysteriously absent.

Dressed in a ‘flashy’ superhero T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans, Emraan Hashmi spoke at length about his magician character and even performed a few tricks.

While Emraan showed off his conjuring skills, Kalki Koechlin took to strumming the guitar. The actress wore a pale white overall.

Talking about the recent trouble that ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ ran into when the National Commission for Women (NCW) asked to view the film, Ekta Kapoor simply said, “The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has already viewed and certified ‘Ek Thi Daayan’. At their behest, a disclaimer has been added before the film. Six out of seven members on the censor board who viewed the film were women.”

The romantic-horror-thriller based on urban legends, directed by debutante Kannan Iyer is scheduled to release on April 18, 2013.
