Ek Villain is one of the most anticipated romantic thriller of this season that has been directed by Mohit Suri and stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.

Everything seems to be right for the film, from its star cast to its promos to its music. However, the only negative buzz in the industry is that Ek Villain is based on the Korean film, I Saw The Devil.

The buzz gained momentum post the release of the new trailer of Ek Villain and the reason is the new trailer has quite a few similarities to the promo of I Saw The Devil.

Director Mohit Suri is very upset with this and has refuted rumours that his upcoming romantic thriller Ek Villain is inspired by Korean film I Saw The Devil.

“That’s just one dialogue that I have taken from the Korean film’s promo, just like I have taken another dialogue from the film Jack Reacher. The two stories are not similar, as the characters come from two completely different worlds. I don’t get the confusion around it. I don’t know why people are calling me to clarify. I wasn’t born with dialogues in my head and I have been inspired by the films I have watched and the books I have read.” stated a very upset and miffed Mohit Suri.

Whether Ek Villain is an original piece of work or a copy of I Saw The Devil, we shall get to know on June 27, 2014.
