As earlier we reported, film industry’s two producers Eros and Viacom18 had come together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s next mammoth project ‘Padmavati‘ starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. As the budget of the film is high, Eros joined hands with Viacom 18 to avoid being the sole producer of the film. Some time back, reports started doing rounds that Eros as a producer has backed out and has opted out to be the part of the production venture.
Though the actual reason behind the same is not known, the producers have reportedly claimed that they were never a part of the project and that these are speculated media stories. On the other hand, reports are doing rounds that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached Reliance Jio to come on board along with Viacom 18 producers for his upcoming film Padmavati.
No official statement regarding the same has been made but it is said that the deal is almost confirmed and that this would be the first project of Reliance Jio as film producers. Well, we wait for the official confirmation from the production as well as from the makers of the film.
Talking about the film, Padmavati is highly anticipated film and is grabbing all the limelight since its inception. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is said to be a historical drama based on the obsession of Alauddin Khilji over Rani Padmavati. The film will go on floors this year!
