After several Bollywood celebrities shared their views on the ban of Pakistani artistes in India, director and choreographer Farah Khan has also spoken up. Well, Bollywood is divided into two different groups due to different opinions on this ban. Celebs like Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Radhika Apte and many more are against the ban. On the other hand, Hema Malini, Ajay Devgn, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sajid Khan and many such celebs are supporting the ban.
Unlike her best friend Karan, Farah supports the ban. However, she said that banning of the films having Pak actors is wrong.
When she was asked if the banning of films that have Pakistani actors is right or not, she says, “There are a handful and I suppose not even a handful, we are only talking about two and when they (directors) did those movies it wasn’t illegal to have Pakistani actors working in the movie. I don’t think it’s fair to ban those movies. I think from now on we are saying that we should not work with them. We have enough talent in our country and we should work with the people from our own country. What do we not have amongst the talent that they have? We are far better. I would definitely prefer to take somebody from my country in my movies.”
The two films Farah is talking about is Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. ADHM has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, whereas Raees has Mahira Khan playing prominent roles.
