MUMBAI: Looks like the band Magik is getting together again for a reunion. Farhan Akhtar made his acting (and singing) debut with ‘Rock On!!’ along with band mates Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli. Now looks like they will return for the sequel to the film.
Abhishek Kapoor has finalised the script and Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment will produce the film, like last time around.
Initially, Abhishek Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar had had a fight over Abhishek’s previous film ‘Kai Po Che’. Buzz was that Farhan Akhtar was even supposed to star in the film in the role eventually played by Sushant Singh Rajput, but things did not work out.
Eventually, bridges were rebuilt again when Farhan Akhtar attended the success party of ‘Kai Po Che’. He had earlier even congratulated the ‘Kai Po Che’ team on Twitter.

It now looks like their relationship is fully functional again. After all, not only will Farhan Akhtar return to acting in the lead role, but he’ll return to the microphone again as well. Now will we see the remaining band members returning as well?
That’s something we can know only later as before the sequel to ‘Rock On!!’, Abhishek Kapoor will be directing Sushant Singh Rajput and Katrina Kaif in ‘Fitoor’, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ‘Great Expectations’.
