Filmcity Beefs Up Security After Banning Pakistani Artistes?

The film industry is divided now with the decision of banning Pakistani actors. The decision was taken after the gruesome Uri attacks. 18 jawans lost their lives because of the attacks and the whole nation is grieving their loss. After the attack, a ban was been demanded by the MNS and other political parties. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena declared that all the Pakistani actors should be banned in the country. They also gave a warning to all of them to leave India within 48 hours. Many stars from the fraternity expressed their views on the same. Actor Salman Khan, who recently entered the ongoing debate, received flak from the political parties over his statement in support of Pakistani actors.

The current debate has created a lot of heated environment all over in the industry. Amid all these, as per reports, the security of Filmcity in Goregaon, Mumbai has been tightened. Reportedly, the security of the Filmcity has been beefed up and nobody is allowed inside without proper ID card. This action has been taken over last 3 days and one has to pass through the checkpoints thrice. Yes, not just once, the ID checking is done thrice after you enter Filmcity.

Not knowing the exact reason, but it seems the recent terrorist attacks are the cause of the action. The management there has stopped allowing foreigners and junior artists and dancers from entering the film city without any official letter from the production unit.

The recent issue of the ban of Pakistani actors has become serious by all means and the political party has also stated that Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Raees’ which stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will not have a smooth release in the nation. Additionally, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which stars Fawad Khan is also going to face problems.
