MUMBAI: Dharma Productions and UTV Motion Pictures has just released the poster of their first children’s film – ‘Gippi’.
Featuring Riya Vij, a 13 year old girl from Delhi, the first look poster of ‘Gippi’ sports an orange background and a turquoise bed. Dressed in polka dotted pajamas, a yellow feathered scarf and glares, Riya looks cute, jumping in joy.
Scribbles all around the young girl give us a hint of who ‘Gippi’ is: The Drama Queen, Superstar, Fan of Shammi Kapoor, Loves Mummy ke Pakode and Naach Gaana…
‘Gippi’ directed by debutant Sonam Nair, is touted to be a coming of age story. The film centers around the teenaged girl who has a crush on the school’s hottie played by Tahaa Shah.
“Gippi is a film for anyone who has ever felt insecure, like they’re not good enough, and it makes you feel great about yourself by the time it ends,” shares Sonam, who had last assisted Karan Johar in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Wake Up Sid’.
‘Gippi’ is scheduled to hit the screens on May 10, 2013.
