Sonam Kapoor’s ambitious project Neerja is very much in news lately. The biopic based on the life of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot is being directed by Ram Madhvani.
Brave heart Neerja Bhanot sacrificed her life for saving the lives of the passengers in the flight hijacked by terrorists. The main protagonist in the movie Sonam Kapoor is preparing very hard to do justice to her role.
Veteran talent bundle Shabana Azmi is roped in for the character of Sonam Kapoor’s mom in the film. Shabana Azmi who is herself a school of acting was heard sharing that she had met Neerja Bhanot’s mother in Chandigarh and developed an instant connection with her. The highly talented actress Shabana Azmi further added that she is all the more happy to be a part of the film.
The first look of Shabana Azmi as Neerja’s mother has been revealed, the legendary actress is looking promising as always with her sense of look. Sonam Kapoor who is working day and night to get Neerja’s mannerisms correct is also looking convincing in Neerja Bhanot’s shoes.
Biopic Neerja is produced by Bling Unplugged and the shooting for the same is going on. This film will mark another feather in Sonam’s rising career.
