Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who is high on success after ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ recently expressed her desire to don director’s hat if she has no films to do. And guess what the actress has fulfilled her dream to do that by holding the camera for her upcoming film Katti Batti.
According to the reports, Kangana Ranaut has stepped on the other side of the camera for her upcoming film Katti Batti. Reportedly the actress has directed first seven minutes of the film where she is shooting for a scene with Imran Khan.
Queen actress, Kangana Ranaut stated, “It’s a seven-minute uncut sequence. I had to shoot it by holding the camera in my hands which was the demand of the script. It was nerve-racking, but actors can do anything for a director who shows trust and faith in his actor’s abilities. Nikhil is one such director.”
Director Nikhil Advani who is proud and impressed by Kangana said, “One of my favourite scenes in the film is one in which Kangana’s character is shooting Imran playfully with an iPad. I wanted the scene to be authentic and organic so Tushar suggested that we should allow Kangana to shoot it herself.”
“The lighting was completed, the set was cleared out and Kangana has shot the scene like a pro, adding one more talent to her already overflowing basket,” he added.
Known for her full dedication for her most appreciated films, Kangana is expected to go bald for certain portion in upcoming film Katti Batti. The film is slated to release in September 2015. It is said that the movie will be different from the usual romance and drama in Bollywood. The movie has a very unique pairing of Kangana and Imran Khan. Directed by Nikhil Advani, Kangana will be seen as Payal and Imran as Maneesh Sharma.
