MUMBAI: Cult-classic Bollywood film, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ completed 25 years yesterday, and the film’s cast and crew enjoyed a grand reunion.
Spotted at the special screening of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ or ‘QSQT’ were a host of Bollywood celebrities, including the film’s leading stars Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla and director Mansoor Khan. The completion of 25 years coincides with Aamir’s 25 years in the industry, so the event was doubly special for the ‘thinking superstar’.
Aamir also did manage to say a few quick words about his latest special appearance in ‘Bombay Talkies’:
“It was great fun doing the song and being part of it. It feels great to be alongside such talented people in ‘Bombay Talkies’. I think there were many people (celebrities) who were missed out (from this song)”
Spotted at the screening were Aamir Khan’s near and dear ones: his wife Kiran Rao, his ex-wife Reena, his kids Ira and Junaid Khan (the latter is now all grown up. Such a strapping young lad!), his uncle Mansoor Khan and nephew Imran Khan with wife Avantika were present to celebrate the momentous occasion. His brother Faisal Khan was also there.
Close friends Ritesh and Genelia Deshmukh, Gauri Khan (minus her superstar husband Shah Rukh Khan), and Zoya Akhtar also graced the event. Rahul Khanna looked handsome as usual, and was spotted alongside his ‘Wake Up Sid’ co-star Konkana Sen Sharma.
Bollywood’s youth brigade saw representation in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ pair Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra.
