Inder Kumar will be in custody till April 30, 2014 in alleged rape case, though Inder Kumar has denied the rape charges and stated that he had consensual sex with the complainant.
Inder Kumar, was arrested for allegedly raping a twenty three years model on pretext of getting roles in movies, was produced before the Bandra magisterial court that remanded him in police custody for four days.
Inder Kumar was arrested after the woman, who is his girlfriend, alleged that the actor had sexually assaulted her since April 23, 2014 night at his suburban Andheri Apartment before she escaped on April 24, 2014 after being held captive, police said.
The complainant also claimed she had been thrashed and hit with a beer bottle by Inder Kumar. She had burn wounds on her body indicating that the actor burnt her with his cigarettes. She even alleged that Inder Kumar had raped her twice in the past three days after promising to give her lead roles in films.
As per the complaint from the victim yesterday, the actor was booked under sections 376 (Punishment for Rape), 324 (causing grievous hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (2)(criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the police said.
“We want the matter to be interrogated thoroughly taking into account all sides in the matter and the Bandra Magistrate court granted police custody till April 30, 2104.” stated Inder Kumar‘s lawyer, Amarendra Pargaonkar.
But the Inder Kumar has a different story to say and stated he had consensual sex with the woman.
Inder Kumar has a troubled relationship with his wife due to which the couple is living separately in the same building. According to police, the actor and his wife had heated arguments over several issues earlier following which she had been to police station also complaining against Inder Kumar.
Inder Kumar has had a ten year prolonged affair with Isha Koppikar but then both parted ways. Inder Kumar then got married to Pallavi Sarraf in the year 1996.
