MUMBAI: We had revealed to our readers that the sexy, uber fit and marvelously handsome John Abraham would be essaying the role of Manya Surve in his next: ‘Shootout at Wadala’. And now, we bring to you photos fromthe first look launch of the same film.

‘Shootout at Wadala’ is the prequel to 2007 film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, based on the book ‘Dongri to Dubai’ written by Hussain Zaidi.

‘Shootout at Wadala’ is written and directed by Sanjay Gupta, and also stars Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar. Reportedly, Bollywood’s leading actress Priyanka Chopra will also be making an appearance in a cameo and an item number – a sensuous mujra song. The film is scheduled to release on 1st May 2013.

John wore an olive green military inspired shirt, black trousers, maroon shades and a characteristic red tilak on his forehead. The first look launch was high on testosterone, with the film’s makers deciding to have an explosive event, quite literally. Reportedly, the action director of ‘Shootout at Wadala’ choreographed a sequence which saw a car being blown up live.

John was accompanied by director Sanjay Gupta, music director Anu Malik, filmmaker Siddhant Kapoor and several other members of the crew of ‘Shootout at Wadala’ at the first look launch. As is natural, John was mobbed by several hundred of his filmi fans post the high-energy dramatic first look launch of ‘Shootout at Wadala’. The humble actor willingly obliged his fans by signing his autograph onto their notebooks, shirts and caps.
